Fire fighting integrated nails are a one piece structural fastener: the nail, its plastic collation collar and its load spreading base plate are supplied as a single integrated unit. Instead of driving a plain nail and then adding a separate washer or bracket, the operator sets the whole assembly in one shot. Rhinails supplies two working lengths, 32mm and 42mm, both on an 8.5mm shell diameter, with the base plate supplied as a round plate or a square plate depending on the fixing.

The expanded base is the point of the design. Because the head no longer concentrates load on a small contact area, it behaves like a washer that is already attached to the nail, which reduces the edge distance you need and limits splitting in the timber underneath.
